Breu, Jörg

Jörg Breu the Younger was the son of Jörg Breu the Elder, one of the leading painters of the Augsburg school, and continued in his father's tradition of large-format altarpiece painting and designs for woodcuts and glass painting. This work, dated 1524 and held in the Staatliche Kunstsammlungen Dresden, documents the Augsburg dynasty's continuity across two generations.
