Hl. Sippe

Francesco Bissolo, a Venetian painter and pupil of Giovanni Bellini, created this panel of the Holy Kinship around 1512. Bissolo maintained the Bellinesque devotional tradition in Venice, producing refined altarpieces and devotional panels. The 1510s were a decade of extraordinary artistic achievement across Europe, shaped by the mature works of Leonardo, Raphael, Michelangelo, and the Venetian masters.
