Madonna and Child with a Male Saint, Catherine of Alexandria and a Donor

Michelangelo di Pietro created this work around 1496, now in the J. Paul Getty Museum. Madonna and Child images were produced in enormous quantities by Renaissance workshops, serving as essential furnishings for churches, chapels, and private households.
