The Last Judgement

This work by Master of Saint Severin, created around 1488, reflects the anonymous workshop traditions that produced much of Europe's devotional art during the Early Renaissance period. Such panels served the liturgical and devotional needs of churches and private patrons across the continent Egg tempera on panel was the dominant technique of the period, demanding careful layer-by-layer construction and patient craftsmanship The work is now in the collection of Wallraf–Richartz Museum.
