Christ Among the Doctors

Maestro Bartolomé painted this scene of Christ Among the Doctors around 1488, depicting the twelve-year-old Jesus debating with the scholars in the Jerusalem temple. This episode from Christ's youth was a standard subject in Christological narrative cycles, demonstrating Christ's divine wisdom even as a child.
