Philips Koninck's Panoramic Landscape with a Country Estate from around 1649 is a masterpiece of the Dutch panoramic landscape tradition, depicting the vast, flat terrain of the Netherlands stretching to an infinite horizon. Koninck was the foremost practitioner of panoramic landscapes in the Dutch Golden Age, influenced by Hercules Segers and Rembrandt, under whom he may have studied.
